Day 15: 50 Days of Prayer for the Persecuted Church: Uzbekistan

Today we pray for Uzbekistan. A country wrought in post-communism, Christians are living in fear that they could be the next targets Converts from other faiths are persecuted.
For more information, Open Doors USA has some details. They estimate a 350,000 Christians in the population of just under 31 million.
Please pray with me and add your prayers in the comments.
Father, we pray for Uzbekistan. Our hearts go out to those who worship you. We pray for strength and a determination to reach the lost no matter the cost. Give them opportunities and miracles to be strong witnesses to your love. Do amazing things through your people. Spread like wildfire in Uzbekistan. We pray for the leadership of the country, soften their hearts to your truth. Bring believers with boldness to talk to the government officials and bring revival to Uzbekistan. Amen

  1. Dear Lord, comfort the Uzbek believers. Give them your joy. Fill them with the power of your Spirit. Fill them with the knowledge of your will through all the wisdom and understanding that your Spirit gives. Encourage them in heart and unite them in love. Give them a deep, personal knowledge of Christ so that they will have all that they need: rooted and grounded in love and in all they need for godliness. Your love casts out all fear. Make them fearless. Cover them with your wings. Let them experience your goodness so that they can boldly share the good news. Protect their children. Provide food, shelter and work. Let nothing that is taken from them be gone in reality because you are their provision. Give them peace. Holy wise God, be forever praised in the midst of the Uzbek people. Let their love and communion with you be so strong that unbelievers are drawn to you because your presence is so strong with the believers. Thank you for our brothers and sisters, Lord, bless them. AMEN
