Day 29: 50 Days of Prayer for the Persecuted Church: Tunisia

Today we pray for Tunisia. Looking at just 17 years back when the number of Christians would have been listed in the hundreds, this is an improvement for this nation. Yet extremists target those converting and making a stand for Christ.

For more information, Open Doors USA has some details. They estimate just under 23,500 Christians in the population of 11.5 million people.

Father, we pray Tunisia. Holy Spirit move among your people in this nation, give them strength and wisdom to reach their families and neighbors. Give them boldness to reach out in places they would have never thought reachable. We pray that government officials will experience your love. That extremists will encounter you in real ways and through dreams and visions, ones so vivid that they have no valid alternative but to convert as a result. Work throughout this country blessing the land and its people. Amen

Father, we pray for Libya. We pray for a government who will stand up for believers and protect their right to worship. We ask that you will help them make wise choices in their governing. We pray for the believers in Libya. Just as a little yeast in the bread can make the who ball of dough rise, we pray that these believers will grow in untold numbers as they share you love through out Libya. We pray for revival in Libya and freedom from fear. Protect our brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen

Day 6: 50 Days of Prayer for the Persecuted Church : Syria

Father, we pray for Syria, the country has for years been in constant conflict with an enemy who is wants Syria to conform to its ways. We pray Father that you watch over the citizens of Syria. Give them protection from these attacks and opportunities to grow. We pray that you provide wisdom to their President as he makes daily decisions that affect the people. Protect those who have fled in hopes of safety elsewhere. May they meet Jesus on their journey. For those believers who have stayed behind give them a renewed passion for reaching the lost. Amen
