Day 18: 50 Days of Prayer for the Persecuted Church: Kenya

Today we pray for Kenya. Unlike all the countries before her, Kenya’s main religion is Christianity. So why then is Kenya on this list of Persecuted nations? Militant extremist groups are on the rise and the public institutions are corrupt not giving any protection to believers.

For more information, Open Doors USA has some details. They estimate just under 40 million Christians in the population of just under 48.5 million people

.

Please pray with me and add your prayers in the comments.

Father, we pray for Kenya. It is odd for us to see nation who is 85% Christian to be oppressed but Father we hear about what is happening in Kenya and are hurting. We pray for boldness and leaders who will stand up for believers from these bullies who are working to destroy the faith of the Kenyan believers. Bring together your children to take a stand against the enemy who is seeking to destroy her. Move in the hearts of the oppressors, let them see the steadfast love the believer in Kenya have and turn from their ways. Give the people of Kenya wisdom and knowledge to reform their country and the corruption that is affecting their lives. Watch over the Kenyan Believers. Amen
