10: 50 Days Freed

Some have come to believe that give themselves to Christ is just trading one form of prison for another. This, of course, is further from the truth. Life in Christ is freedom to be who we were meant to be. Jesus died so that we could break free from the bondage of sin and have life more abundantly in Him.

“God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:17 NLT

We as believers need to follow the ways of Christ, working to share Jesus with the world. People need to experience the love of the saviour and they almost always need to do that with human interaction. The super rare few will meet Jesus on the road to Damascus but even those moments were foreshadowed by something they had seen or heard from someone else. Saul had seen the faith of those who were being persecuted and killed in the name of Rome, yet never recanted always died without giving up their faith.

We live in a day and age where we are taught to tolerate everything, except Christian beliefs, which are okay to discriminate against. We as believers are not to agree with everything happening in society, there are things happening that are wicked and immoral. We don’t have to agree with them. We don’t need to be ignorant and shouting in the streets, but we need to be praying, loving and reaching people who are caught up in these things. Don’t get caught up in the lie that everything is awesome, somethings are just plain sinful.

Let’s work with Jesus to reach this lost world. Let’s get off our couches, off our phones and get to work. We are Christ examples on earth, we should be loving the people of this world just as much as Jesus does. What will you do today to share Jesus love? Are you satisfied living in bondage or ready to walk in freedom?

Father, I need to share your love today. I want to use every moment to share your love with those around me. Help me to stand up for what is right and pure, and not just go with the flow. Help me be a light to those around me looking for you. They matter to you and they matter to me. Help me to show others the freedom that they can have in you. Amen
