Day 24: 50 Days of Prayer for the Persecuted Church: Laos

Today we pray for Laos. Tightly gripped by communism, the Laos people are expected to worship the state religion of Buddhism. Those who do not are persecuted.

For more information, Open Doors USA has some details. They estimate 225,000 Christians in the population of 7 million people.

Please pray with me and add your prayers in the comments.

Father, we pray for Laos. We ask that you will show the older believers in Laos the importance of disciplining the younger generation to do the work you are calling them to do. Give them places and opportunities to gather in worship without fear of being arrested. Soften the hearts of the Laos believers neighbours, preparing them to hear about you. Give opportunities share the love of Jesus, through words and actions. Shake up the nation of Laos. Amen
